Dr Pepper Museum

A must see for soft drink enthusiasts, the Dr Pepper Museum offers a huge collection of memorabilia that shows the history of the Dr Pepper brand. This is the perfect location for the entire family, as there are exhibits for everyone, including Liquid Lab Shows such as “Smell a Pepper” and “Fantastic Flavors.” At the end of your visit, quench your thirst at Frosty’s Soda Shop;  a 1950s-themed soda fountain offering  soft drinks, ice cream, and the popular Dr Pepper float. The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5:30 p.m. Holiday hours vary.

Texas Ranger Museum and Hall of Fame

Home to a large assortment of artifacts and documents, the Texas Ranger Museum is a fantastic place to learn about the history and service of the Texas Rangers. Here, you will find badges, firearms, tools, law enforcement equipment, and more. The museum is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is closed on some holidays.

Texas Sports Hall of Fame Museum

With over 300 Texas sports legends honored, the Texas Sports Hall of Fame Museum will not disappoint sports enthusiasts. Offering memorabilia from a variety of sports, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The museum is also home to the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame and the Texas Tennis Museum. It’s open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is closed on Sunday.  Check for current operating times, as the museum is closed on some holidays and on Baylor home game days.

Mayborn Museum

If you love history and science, then you must visit the Mayborn Museum. In addition to natural history artifacts, the hands-on discovery science center is perfect for young minds to explore and play. There is even a historic village with nine wood-frame buildings that are tucked along the banks of the Brazos River, giving visitors a glimpse into the past. Operating times vary, and special exhibits are frequently added.
